remember that time i tried to design mermaids for the Meatshield ‘verse but i couldn’t come up with anything conclusive?

I’M AT IT AGAIN.

i was suddenly stuck with inspiration when reading about Jenny Hanivers!

they’re morbid little creations sailors used to make by mutilating dead stingrays or skates, which they would then try to pass off as mermaids or other kinds of mythical creatures. so these mermaids are stingray based, i guess :D

once again though, i’m torn between making crazy unconventional mermaids, and going with the oh-so-romantic classical depiction of them. i really like both kinds, so i don’t know which i want to use ;^;
but in the meantime, these guys are pretty neat~
